About
Welcome to Bantaba Brew
Bantaba Brew is built around a simple belief: Good tea is the result of patience, intention, and respect for tradition. Our journey is rooted in "Ataya", a West African green tea ritual that represents presence, connection, and time taken with purpose.
What we do is straightforward, but never rushed. We focus on green tea that is carefully selected, thoughtfully sourced, and meant to be experienced the way it was intended, slowly and deliberately. Every decision reflects our commitment to quality without shortcuts and respect for the cultural meaning behind each cup.
Rather than chasing scale or trends, Bantaba Brew prioritizes consistency, integrity, and clarity. Our approach is hands‑on and intentional, guided by respect for both craft and community.
My Story with "Ataya"
My relationship with green tea, known in West Africa as "Ataya", began at home when I was seven. I grew up watching my father prepare tea through its traditional three rounds, learning that "Ataya" was never just about drinking tea, but about patience, presence, and connection. Over time, what started as curiosity became a lasting bond.
As I grew older, that bond turned into a deeper interest in quality and craft. I studied green tea, tested countless samples, and learned firsthand that much of the tea sold in our communities was chosen for low cost rather than quality. When advised to follow the same path, I chose not to. I believed that our communities deserved better quality "Ataya".
I committed to sourcing higher quality green tea, even when it meant higher costs, because I wanted the tea to stand on its own, without shortcuts. Bantaba Brew was built on that decision. Today, I continue this journey with the same purpose, offering green tea rooted in tradition, respect, and intention, just as it was meant to be experienced.
